INTERIOR DESIGN AND HEALTH

Our environment has a huge impact on our physical and mental health. Here are some points to consider when designing a space.

Having a good air quality

  • Improved by using natural materials
  • The use of appropriate vegetation for indoor spaces. Purifies the air and promotes our emotional state.
  • Avoid deodorizing products or very chemical cleaning products.

Reduce the electrical load of the environment

  • Do not use synthetic materials (which accumulate the most dust)

Thermal, acoustic and light comfort

  • Use insulating, soundproofing and breathable materials in the room.
  • Promote buffer areas between the exterior and interior such as covered terraces or porches. This protects the rest of the interior from bad weather.
  • The sun: protect yourself from it in summer and favour it in winter (awnings, curtains, etc.). Prefer natural light
  • The vegetation favors the acoustic absorption and filters the natural light

Reduce the intensity of electromagnetic fields

  • Avoid having electrical devices connected all the time.
  • Try not to work in places with too much wiring

Promote order

  • Create storage spaces
  • Promotes rest and concentration
  • Easy to maintain cleanliness
